The Nauru Agreement is a sub-regional agreement on tuna fishing and fisheries management. The Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA) are Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu. OFP has provided scientific advice to underpin their sub-regional exclusive economic zone-based management measures, including the PNA's development of the purse seine vessel days scheme (operating as of 2010) and the longline vessel days scheme. Further scientific support has been provided by OFP to assist the Polynesian-focused Te Vaka Moana Arrangement, a fisheries co-operative that aims to enhance current cooperation and capacity building, as they discuss related fisheries management and development options.
