At the regional scale, OFP provides active scientific support to member countries and partners through liaison with the Forum Fisheries Agency, and with sub-regional management arrangements. This approach ensures these organisations and groups, and their member countries, receive the best available scientific advice regarding the management of their tuna fisheries, their requirements are appropriately catered for by the work of the Programme, and that results of OFP research are communicated in a form that best meets those requirements.
