In February2010,Mr. I Gede Bayu Sedana, RCCF Database Technician (Indonesian Research Centre for Capture Fisheries), followed a one week training with the OFP Data management team.

During this attachment, the following course were given to Bayu:

• introduction to WCPFC Tuna Fisheries, and WCPFC requirement in terms of data submission
  
• reviewing of the East Indonesia tuna fishery database system structure and components. This lessons allowed Gede to ge more familiar with concepts used in other database.
• post data entry processing and data quality control techniques
• data management principles
• general reporting (dissemination) philosophies
