Tiffany joined the Oceanic Fisheries Programme as a Senior Fisheries Scientist in March 2019. Her research is focused on improving modelling techniques for standardizing tuna purse seine CPUE in the western and central Pacific Ocean, and better understanding and quantifying effort creep. She has worked extensively with commercial and recreational fisheries in Northwest Atlantic and prior to arriving at SPC, Tiffany worked for the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries in the United States as a stock assessment specialist. She holds a Masters Degree from the University of Massachusetts’ School for Marine Sciences and Technology, where she studied age, growth, and reproduction of golden tilefish, and a PhD from the University of Georgia where she studied the role of environmental variability on Great Lakes fish populations.
