Melanie obtained a Master Degree in Marine Biology Sciences at the European Institute for Marine Studies (IUEM) of Brest in 2012. Before, she obtained 2 years technical degree in biology environment and a Licence Bachelor of biology-ecology. She had worked in different research laboratories as the Marine Environmental Science Laboratory (IUEM) in Brest and the Life and Environment Insular Laboratory (LIVE) at the University of New Caledonia. It is to share and apply his knowledge in marine biology that she joined SPC in December 2012 as laboratory assistant for the deepwater snapper project. Her main work consists in determination of the growth and age by the otoliths method and in the characterization of the reproduction of the snappers. |
