Friday, 28 November 2008 11:28

National level training attachments involve national fisheries officers being hosted by the OFP for a period of 1-3 weeks during which:

  1. They receive further instruction in the use and interpretation of stock assessment information;
  2. Where requested, they may be provided basic training in fisheries data management, analyses and interpretation.
  3. They will collaborate with OFP scientist to draft and contribute to the production of the National Tuna Fisheries Status Report (see link) for that member country.

In general these attachments are held in conjunction with the production of the NTFSRs and in the lead up to national tuna management plan revisions and consultations (please see NTFSRs).
