Thursday, 23 September 2010 11:40

For many years, OFP conducted stock assessments for the regions tuna resources and these were reported to the Scientific Committee for Tuna and Billfish (SCTB). Since the establishment of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) in 2004, OFP is now the Service Provider to the Commission and continues to undertake stock assessments and other related analyses under contract. These are presented and reviewed the Scientific Committee of the WCPFC.
